What we check
Every Resume Score runs the 6 core checks below. Job Fit Check adds a 7th: how well your resume matches the specific job description. Each check gets pass, warning, or fail, and the overall score is a weighted aggregate where formatting, headers, and keywords count most.
Uses standard ATS-parseable headers (Experience, Education, Skills).
PM acronyms (OKR, PRD, GTM) spelled out on first use for keyword matching.
Typos that confuse parsers and undermine credibility with humans.
All dates in the same format. Inconsistency breaks tenure calculations.
Single-column layout with no tables or text boxes. Multi-column layouts scramble content in ATS parsers.
Checks the PM vocabulary expected at your seniority (with an AI PM band when you target AI/ML roles), and whether those terms appear in your experience bullets, not just a skills list.
Job Fit mode only: the specific terms from your target job description that are missing from your resume. Leads the report and weighs more than the generic PM keyword check.
